Lutz Scharf (photo) and Micah Rose arrived in South Africa: Ron Wertlen was at hand to pick up the Anthropologist and the Soccer Trainer (Mr Rose is also a Sociology and Anthropology student), in East London. The two students have been sponsored by SolarWorld to accompany the community in the use of the SolarWorld Solar Community TV sets during the World Cup. Mr Scharf will study the impact of the introduction of TV sets into the community, Mr Rose will get a soccer team of learners together and train them during the duration of the World Cup. Both will keep record of their experiences on awareNet, together with the learners. Results will be published. Excitement is mounting in the country and also at Nkwalini after the great Kick Off! Now, we are all on edge about the second game tonight.
