Village Scribe Association Trust founded in South Africa
The VSA has founded its first partner association in South Africa, the VSA Trust. The South African Trust has the same goals and assignments as the European VSA, e.g.
1.To envisage, conceive of, use, and support modern, innovative information and communication technologies to help people in the developing world to become autonomous and financially independent.
2.To support carefully selected practical projects and activities of various agencies that bring marginalised rural areas in Africa into the knowledge society, which meet the trust’s criteria and make use of synergy effects among each other to maximise results.
Dr. Anna und Ronald Wertlen are the founders of the Trust. Thozamile Ngeju, Clifford Evanson, Craig Renaud, Ronald and Anna Wertlen are the trustees. The VSA Trust will now be registered as a non-profit organisation with the South African authorities.
